For some time now the two dominating themes in our world have been the financial crisis and protecting the environment, yet the global business and political elite have failed to deal with these problems and the man in the street is powerless.

The ambitious Professor Klingstring (Michael Marchner) was thus prompted to draw upon his field of expertise and set out to prove that the solution to both problems was to be found in the same remedy.

The grumpy yet resourceful professor demonstrated in his musical - scientific paper “Scrap to Music” how a musician could quickly solve the financial crisis while at the same time respecting and protecting the environment.

To demonstrate his theory the professor invited his two unluckiest students to join him on stage, the drummer „Veitl“ (Daniel Neuner) who had irrevocably lost his place in his band following the total destruction of his instruments, and the former car mechanic  „Manni“ (Andy Asang) who having recently lost his job had successfully reinvented himself as an unsuccessful musician.

The magic ingredients required for success? Scrap and fantasy. Then it was up, up and away to the junk yard for both of them to begin the search for material to be developed into mega cheap sound producing objects.

Under the carefully skilled leadership of the “Gyro Gearloose” professor there then commenced an astounding recycling of scrap into musical instruments producing at once both a stunning sound and incredible optics.

The lecture mutated into an incredible stage show: a multitude of home made instruments recycled from items as diverse as exhaust pipes and tap spouts flooded the stage and began a grandiose concert. Classic songs of the last 300 years were suddenly given an intoxicating new lease of life!

Recyklang is an international stage show presented in German, English or Italian.
